Crescent Enterprises LLC ("Crescent," "we," "us," or "our") builds mobile applications including Simply Nur and Nur Router (together, the "Apps"), and operates the website at crescent-enterprisesllc.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We designed our Apps to be privacy-respecting by default. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Location data

Our Apps use your device's location solely to calculate prayer times, determine Qibla direction, deliver turn-by-turn navigation, and find nearby mosques and halal restaurants. Location is processed on your device wherever possible. We do not build advertising profiles from your location.

1.2 App usage and diagnostic data

We use privacy-focused analytics (PostHog) to understand which features are used, which screens users visit, and to diagnose crashes. This data is associated with an anonymous device identifier, not your name or email.

1.3 Account and subscription data

If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple, Google, or our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive a subscription status and anonymous customer ID. We do not receive your payment card details.

1.4 Contact information you provide

If you email us at support@crescent-enterprisesllc.com or info@crescent-enterprisesllc.com, we collect your email address and anything you choose to tell us, solely to respond to you.

1.5 Travel data (Nur Router only)

When you plan a road trip or flight, the origin, destination, waypoints, and (for flights) flight number are used to compute prayer schedules and routes. Saved trips are stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Information

• To deliver the core features of the Apps (prayer times, Qibla, navigation, inflight scheduling).
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Apps and the Site.
• To diagnose crashes and technical issues.
• To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not use your data to serve targeted advertisements.
• We do not share your precise location with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the Apps:

• Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• PostHog — product analytics and crash reporting.
• Mapbox, Google Maps, AeroDataBox (Nur Router) — mapping, points of interest, and flight data.
• Expo / Apple Push / Google FCM — prayer-time and trip notifications.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing its processing of your data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Prayer history, saved trips, preferences, and downloaded content are stored locally on your device. Analytics events are retained by our provider for a rolling period consistent with their default retention policies. If you uninstall the Apps, locally-stored data is removed from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are suitable for users of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@crescent-enterprisesllc.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continually to improve our security posture.

9. International Users

We operate from the United States. If you access our Apps or Site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notice within the Apps.
